Italy trip - Toscana
Hello, everybody,
Today I am gonna share with you a few lovely tips from amazing Toscana.
It was for sure quite an experience that you should definitely try if you are in Florence area.
At first we were looking for a one day trip organized for larger groups, but in the end we gave up on the idea and finally we decided to rent a car for one day. If you go on your own it is much easier for sure and you can do whatever you want.
I really wanted to try an old Fiat 500 :), but thinking I wouldn't like to be boiled in my own blood :), in the end we rented a new Fiat with air conditioning. The site we used was Europecar.com and it was a very good experience. They didn't try to scam us or anything.
We left very early in the morning from Florence city center and came back around 11 PM at night - all in all we travelled like 400 km :)
The areas we visited were as follows:
- San Gimignano
- Chianti
- Siena
- Val d'Orcia
- La Foce
Amazing views from San Gimignano
Random old Fiat on the road :) near San Gimignano
Chianti area
There are many vineyards in Chianti area and it is a perfect place to take some lovely pics.

Siena
Siena is a lovely city from Tuscany area - they have very good wine :)
Siena city center
In Siena we also ate, because why not :). The place was called Il Peccatore.
We took some bruschetta, a specific italian salad called panzanella and some pasta.
The bruschetta and pasta were pretty good, but the panzanella was not made on the spot. As such I cannot recommend it.
Also the place was not very crowdy and, despite of that, we were served the last, after 2 other tables who came after us finished their meal.
I guess they just forgot about us - dolce far niente style :)
My advice - go some place else, if you decide to eat in Siena :)

La Foce
La Foce is an area where there is this famous curvy road from Tuscany and we really wanted to be there for sunset.
It wasn't what we expected in terms of colours, but it was nice in the end. We stayed there until the sun went down and then we were on our way back to Florence.
